The History of Hwyl Booklet, written by poet Aneirin Karadog, is back as part of this year’s Festival. It explores ‘hwyl’ (fun or joy in Welsh) and fits this year’s ‘Sustainable Hwyl’ theme. The Booklet includes information and facts
about the history of ‘hwyl’ – the Welsh word for joy and fun – exploring what makes Wales hwyl through its festivals, traditions, food, poetry and sports. The Booklet also has fun activities for children, including a join-the-dots puzzle, a maze to help the poet win the Chair, a cynghanedd poetry challenge, and a design-your-own-cake section!
