Step inside the historic walls of Ruthin Gaol this Halloween for a spooky half-term adventure like no other. From ghostly trails and frightful family fun to a mysterious lucky dip and wonderfully wicked activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

For those feeling extra brave, our special After Dark evenings bring the Gaol to life in a whole new way, with atmospheric late-night opening and torchlight tours through the shadowy corridors.

When is it?

We’ll be open for Halloween week:

• Saturday 25 to Tuesday 28 October 2025, 11am to 4pm (last entry at 3pm)
• Wednesday 29 to Friday 31 October, 11am to 8pm (last entry 7pm) – After Dark evenings

Torchlight tours will be taking place on late night After Dark evenings only, starting at 6pm.
