The Museums Association (MA) and the Federation of Museums and Art Galleries of Wales have written to Cardiff City Councillors. 

The MA and Federation of Museums and Arts Galleries of Wales unequivocally opposes Cardiff Council’s proposals to close the Museum of Cardiff.

The Museum of Cardiff is an award-winning and internationally recognised museum, which plays a vital role in the city’s cultural life.

The museum provides a wealth of social and economic benefits for the local community and beyond, and actively contributes to Cardiff City Council’s principal well-being objectives, which seek to create safe, confident, and empowered communities.  Its museum, at the cultural and commercial heart of the city, is a positive statement that you are in the capital of Wales, a city proud of its heritage and looking forward to a diverse and inclusive future.
